Pittsburgh Will Collect Your Yard Waste This Weekend
April 20 is Pittsburgh's bi-annual collection event.

Put out leaves, branches, brush, and grass in your typical trash pickup spot before 6 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, and the city will collect it as part of its bi-annual collection event. Your yard waste will be diverted from the landfills and used to produce local compost.
Yard debris must be placed in a brown paper bag and weigh no more than 35 pounds. Branches must be bundled with fiber natural twine or rope, measuring five feet or less in length and less than four inches in diameter.
Not everything will be collected! Do not include plastic bags, metal, wire, rocks, bricks, dirt, gravel, glass, or plastic.
If you aren’t ready for this weekend, you can always take your debris to the 3rd Division of Public Works in Hazelwood, 5th Division of Public Works in the West End, or 2nd Division of Public Works in Homewood. Find more information here.
