What Will the NFL Draft Look Like?
The NFL just released photo mockups of what the North Side and Downtown will look like during the April event. Why Don't the ‘Big Five’ Pay Taxes?
If the region’s five largest nonprofits — UPMC, Highmark, Pitt, CMU, and Duquesne — paid property taxes like the rest of us, they’d generate an annual $34.5 million for the city. So why don’t they? Today we’re talking about how PA law plays into their shared status as "purely public charities," what our last several mayors have done to challenge that, and how Corey O’Connor is trying to make his mark. Developer Tries To Nix Affordable Units
Walnut Capital wants to eliminate 16 required affordable units from a 159-unit development currently under construction in Oakland — going against the neighborhood's inclusionary zoning mandate and conditions of the project’s approval. The developer is arguing that Pittsburgh’s inclusionary zoning policy is illegal. [🔒 Business Times]
