Coraopolis Terminates Partnership with ICE
Council voted to end an agreement that deputized local police officers to act as immigration agents. It's one of several local municipalities that have recently backed out of ICE partnerships after facing public scrutiny. The borough's police chief says he'll "still assist ICE if asked to do so."
