Land Bank Gets First Pass at Sheriff’s Sales
Under a new deal, Pittsburgh's Land Bank will get a priority bid when tax delinquent properties go to auction. In the past, the Land Bank — which helps make vacant and abandoned properties usable again — was being outbid by private developers. [WESA]

Station Square Purchased By Boston Developer
The dining and entertainment hub along the Mon River was bought by WS Development for an undisclosed amount. It was facing foreclosure over $143 million in debt, and several longstanding restaurants had closed in recent years. [🔒 Business Times]
Mt Washington Transit Tunnel Reopening Soon
Pittsburgh Regional Transit announced the tunnel will be back in use by the end of the year. It was closed in February so crews could replace the light rail tracks and repair the roadway and overhead electric lines. [CBS]
- Did you know? This is the only tunnel in the country that's used by both buses and light rail trains. [Union Progress]
Trump Admin To Take Stake In Pgh Battery Company
Eos Energy Enterprises announced the federal government will become a shareholder in the company, which makes industrial-scale rechargeable batteries that can be used to power data centers. Eos is relocating its headquarters to Pittsburgh next year and says it will quadruple the jobs at its Turtle Creek facility. [TribLive]
