What's CITY Talking About?
Is Conor Lamb Back in His Political Era?
Conor Lamb lost his 2022 Senate primary to John Fetterman, but many Pennsylvanians have buyers' remorse. (Have you seen the public apologies? Even AOC wrote one.) With Lamb now holding town halls all over the state, can the former Congressman make a comeback? Does he even want to? We teamed up with City Cast Philly to get his take on what's happening in Washington, plus his plans for 2026 and beyond. [π§ City Cast Pittsburgh]

Final Design Unveiled for Tree of Life
The new building will include a museum, classrooms, a social hall, and a 300-seat sanctuary/theater space featuring the synagogue's historic stained-glass windows. Construction is expected to begin early next year. Eleven people from three congregations were killed in a targeted attack at the space in 2018. [WESA / π§ City Cast Pittsburgh]

U.S. Steel Ends Plant Production, Keeps Workers
The steelmaker is ending production at an Illinois plant, just three months after Nippon Steel struck a deal with President Donald Trump to take over the Pittsburgh-based company. U.S. Steel wonβt immediately lay off any of the plant's roughly 800 workers; because of a national security agreement, their jobs are secure until 2027.
- The company says it'll focus on processing raw steel at its facilities in the Mon Valley and Gary, Indiana. [Associated Press]
