Pittsburgh Rallies for a New PA Budget
The advocacy organization Pittsburghers for Public Transit gathered outside of the City County Building in Downtown on Monday to press state lawmakers to pass a budget that would fund local transit. [PPT]

U.S. Steel Investigates Coke Works Explosion
The cause of the Clairton battery explosion that killed two workers and injured 10 others is still unclear. U.S. Steel executives said there were no safety concerns leading up to the blast. Gov. Josh Shapiro visited the Mon Valley plant yesterday with County Executive Sara Innamorato to thank first responders and offer state resources. Most of the plant was back in operation on Tuesday. Fired Cop To Be Reinstated
A Commonwealth Court judge ruled that former Pittsburgh Police officer Keith Edmonds, who was fired after repeatedly shocking 54-year-old Jim Rogers with a Taser during an arrest, must be reinstated with back pay and benefits. Rogers died a day after the 2021 incident; his family reached an $8 million settlement with the city. [90.5 WESA]
