Hiya, neighbor. I was bummed to hear that natural wine shop Nine O’Clock Wines is closing its post inside the Lawrenceville Market House at the end of summer. (Go to their events and buy bottles before they close Sept. 5!)

🍷The small biz has been upfront about how they’ve been affected by the global wine market’s instability.

🏹 City Expands Bow-Hunting in Parks

Pittsburgh is taking its deer management program to four new parks: Hays Woods, Hazelwood Greenway, South Side Park, and Seldom Seen Greenway in Beechview. The city is seeking 65 local archers to join the efforts, starting in September. [Pittsburgh Magazine]

🦟 West Nile Detected in Allegheny County

Mosquitos in Wilkinsburg, Mt. Washington, Beltzhoover, Mt. Oliver, Hazelwood, and Schenley Park tested positive for West Nile Virus, according to the county health department. Most people who contract the virus don’t present symptoms, and less than 1% develop a serious illness.
