🍪 Does Pgh say ‘cookie’ weird?

June 24, 2025 · — Francesca Dabecco

Personally, I don’t hear it… but it could just be my hometahn ears. Why do we sound different to outsiders?

Actor, voice coach, and speech teacher Don Wadsworth joins us on the City Cast Pittsburgh podcast to break down what exactly makes our dialect so distinct 🎧

UPMC says it’s following directives from the federal government to avoid “risk of criminal prosecution.” [PublicSource]
