Hey, yinz!
Our number one goal is to help you connect with our city and stay engaged — whether that’s by getting to know Pittsburgh’s mayoral candidates, learning how to protect our rivers and parks, or finding ways to support local businesses 🗳️🌳🛍️
And now, we want to connect with you! When you become a City Cast Pittsburgh Neighbor, you’ll be invited to exclusive meetups where you can hang with me and the team — and share ideas with other passionate Neighbors like you 🤝
We have a members-only happy hour coming up on May 15, and we don’t want you to miss out 🍻

What's CITY Talking About?
⛈️ Severe Storm Causes Damage, Outages

🗳️ Independents Can’t Vote in Mayoral Primary
PA is one of 10 states with a closed primary system, meaning only registered Democrats and Republicans get to vote in their respective parties’ spring elections. We’re talking with SpotlightPA reporter Kate Huangpu about how this rule disenfranchises more than a million voters and what you should know if you want a say in Pittsburgh’s upcoming mayoral race. ✅ International Students Get Visas Back
The Trump administration restored the legal status of six international students and alumni at Pitt and 11 at CMU — along with some 1,500 other students nationwide — after abruptly cancelling their visas earlier this month. One CMU student hasn’t seen records restored yet. [PublicSource]
