What's CITY Talking About?

✈️ Security Changes at PIT Airport
TSA is still toying with security protocol after a huge surge in traffic at Pittsburgh International Airport last year. Starting the evening of May 4, people with PreCheck, Global Entry, and CLEAR will use the main security line, and the alternate checkpoint accessible via the upper floor will be for general passengers only, and only at certain times. [Blue Sky News]
- 🌳 An earthy-inspired new terminal with expanded security areas (now expected to cost $1.7 billion!) is slated to open later this year. [✍️ Hey Pittsburgh]
⚾ Pirates Fans Loyal, Despite Losses
Thousands of fans lined up this weekend outside PNC Park — even stretching across the Roberto Clemente Bridge — to get their hands on a limited-edition bobblehead inspired by Rookie-of-the-Year Paul Skenes. The team is currently 8-15. [90.5 WESA]
- ⛳ One baseball fan used a golf tournament in Hilton Head, S.C. to protest the lack of investment by team ownership, shouting “fire Bob Nutting” after a drive. [PGA Tour]
- 🏴☠️ ICYMI: There are some really frustrated Buccos fans out there. [🎧 City Cast Pittsburgh]
🎉 Food Festival & Market Season Kicks Off
This weekend alone, you can nosh on delicious plant-based food at Veg Far in Point Breeze; shop from local vendors at Millvale Market Day; find a treasure at the Really Really Free Market in East Liberty; or take a tasty bike ride on Le Tour de Donut all over the city.
- 🛍️ Make plans for more spring events like native plant sales, an indie bookstore crawl, and an all-night art celebration! [🎧 City Cast Pittsburgh]

Based on a real-life art heist.

Where Is It?

Let’s play a game! Where in Pittsburgh can you find these fun fungi? 👀
🌟 Congrats to Maura M., Nina M., Jack C., Daisy G., Alexa C., and Ellen S. who correctly guessed the last “Where Is It?” challenge! ⬇️

Love music and coffee? Browse records while you sip on an iced latte at The Government Center in East Allegheny! The Kinder Being is located inside the record shop (and serves a jammin’ lavender latte and breakfast burrito, I’d like to add!)
There’s a bar inside, too! Keep tabs on The Government Center’s Instagram for live music, pop-up markets, and more night life.
👟 Or plan a whole neighborhood adventure with our guide on what to eat, drink, see, and do! (Psst! One of my favorite gift shops is on East Ohio Street!)
