What's CITY Talking About?
💰 Trump Orders New Review of U.S. Steel Sale
The Committee on Foreign Investment has 45 days to conduct another review of Nippon Steel’s proposed $15 billion takeover of U.S. Steel and determine whether the sale poses any national security threats. The panel failed to reach a consensus in December, which allowed then-President Biden to block the deal; the committee now has all-new Trump appointees. [TribLive]

🚔 Pgh Searches for Another Police Chief
The Pittsburgh Bureau of Police has had five different leaders over the past two and a half years — all under all under a single mayor — and it's still not clear when we're getting a new top cop. Pitt law professor David Harris, who previously served on committees to select our city’s police chief, joins us on the City Cast Pittsburgh podcast to talk about what’s going on with local law enforcement. 📉 PPS Budget Challenges Could Get Worse
Pittsburgh Public Schools might not receive roughly $15.3 million of pandemic aid that it was counting on. The Department of Education announced that it would not pay out the rest of this federal funding, even though the money was already approved by Congress. [90.5 WESA]
