What's CITY Talking About?
🤖 Pittsburgh Robots Could Save Lives
CMU and Pitt are competing in a Department of Defense contest to develop robotics and AI technology that can assist in emergency responses — such as assessing injuries or monitoring vital signs after disasters. The local collaboration, named Team Chiron, is up against 10 other teams to win $1.5 million. [Axios Pittsburgh]
💬 Duolingo Launches Free Early Learning Program
Just a skip from the company’s headquarters in East Liberty is the new Duo’s Treehouse — a free, immersive bilingual (Spanish and English) space for kids ages 5 and under. Check it out inside the Kingsley Association in Larimer on Fridays, 9:30-11:30 a.m. [Duolingo]

The Penguins will play two games against Nashville at Avicii Arena in Stockholm Nov. 14 and 16 — a homecoming for Swedish players like Rickard Rakell and Erik Karlsson. [NHL]
- ⚾ More sports fun: A local Dick's Sporting Goods bought this one-of-a-kind Paul Skenes baseball card for $1.11 million. [Associated Press]

Where Is It?

Let’s play a game! Where in Pittsburgh can you find the colorful, sculptural light in the photo above? 👀
🌟 Congrats to our lone winner, Jorge R., who correctly guessed the last “Where Is It?” challenge! ⬇️

🍦 It’s spring, and Pittsburgh’s approaching ice cream season! This photo was taken in one of my favorite spots for nondairy ice cream: Frio Creamery on Butler Street. (The vegan pistachio flavor is life-changing!)
