🚨 ‘Person of Interest’ in CEO Shooting Arrested in PA
Police arrested a 26-year-old man at a McDonald’s in Altoona — about two hours east of Pittsburgh — in connection with the killing of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson. A McDonald’s employee called local authorities after recognizing the man from photos. Police say he had a gun and a handwritten document tying him to the shooting. [Associated Press]
🖋️ WESA, WYEP Union Signs First Contract
More than two dozen SAG-AFTRA union staffers bargained with Pittsburgh Community Broadcasting to ratify a three-year contract, which includes wage increases and protections against AI tech replacing workers’ jobs. [TribLive]

⚖️ Rep. Dan Miller Runs for County Judge
Democrat Dan Miller, who represents the 42nd Legislative District, announced he’s running for one of seven open seats on the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas. He doesn’t plan to resign from his House seat while campaigning. [Penn Capital-Star]
- During his time as a lawmaker, Miller has pushed for legislation that would allow striking union members to collect unemployment benefits and create a paid family and medical leave program.
