👀 McCormick, Casey Race Still Too Close to Call

But as of press time, Associated Press says it’s still neck and neck. [Penn Capital Star / 90.5 WESA]

⚖️ Who Will Control PA’s House?

💸 Musk Finishes ‘Lottery’ After PA Judge Gave OK

After District Attorney Larry Krasner filed a lawsuit against Musk for breaking election law, a Common Pleas Court Judge said his PAC could continue the $1 million giveaway in swing states because it’s technically not a lottery — even though Musk said it was random. Musk's lawyers revealed that winners aren’t chosen by chance; they’re “paid spokespeople for the group.” [Reuters]

Pittsburgh Opera presents an adulterous double feature

Pittsburgh Opera presents an adulterous double feature not seen here since 1996.

Jealousy, two-timing, and revenge unite the back-to-back tragedies of Cavalleria Rusticana and Pagliacci. Possessiveness, machismo, and rage fuel their bloody conclusions.

Enjoy two amazing operas on the same night. November 9th-17th.

💛 A heart thought, before you go: While federal and state-wide politics have real (and often challenging) effects on our communities, know that the Hey Pittsburgh newsletter and City Cast Pittsburgh podcast will always be a place that connects you to what’s happening in your backyard, our common ground. As a city, our power lies in our ability to relate and empathize with our neighbors. We build community through awareness of our strengths and fragility — and the courage to respond to both with passion.

In times of stress, the best thing we can do for each other is to listen with our ears and our hearts and to be assured that our questions are just as important as our answers.
