🪣 PPG To Layoff Workers in US, Europe

Pittsburgh-based PPG Industries will let go of 1,800 employees to cut costs, though the timeline isn’t clear. The paint and coatings maker will also sell its architectural business and close some facilities. [Associated Press]

Mellon Square will shine this holiday season with the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy’s newest installation, Aurora. The large arched design has hundreds of glowing, interactive panels that respond to touch. [Pittsburgh Magazine]

Ever have a wood-fired pizza sandwich or “panuozzo”? It’s life changing. The couple behind the ‘77 Club pops up at breweries and events around town. Follow them to get your hands on the “Luana” with smoked tomato, mozzarella, arugula, and basil.

☕ Trace Echo

Bloomfield’s beloved Trace Brewing expanded with a new collaborative brewery and coffee shop in Uptown (aka the Bluff). Expect the same cozy taproom vibes and an outdoor space — but with the addition of a full espresso bar by Ghost Coffee Collab.

🍳 Breakfast at DiAnoia’s

The Strip District spot has a new morning menu featuring breakfast classics with an Italian twist, like porchetta eggs Benedict, prosciutto omelets, and zeppole (Italian doughnuts). Try it Tuesday through Saturday, 8-11 a.m.
