What's CITY Talking About?
🛢️ Do Pennsylvanians Care About Fracking?
Political candidates keep equating us with natural gas extraction, even as they say the commonwealth could be the linchpin for the White House. But does fracking actually matter here? We’re talking about how 13 million Pennsylvanians really feel, and what the campaigns should maybe be talking about instead. [🎧 City Cast Pittsburgh]

🏟️ Acrisure Stadium Named a FEMA Shelter
The Federal Emergency Management Agency selected the North Shore stadium last week to serve as a shelter and safe storage during emergencies or disasters. Acrisure is one of four NFL stadiums newly chosen as a “mission ready venue.” [TribLive]
📣 Psych Nurses Warn of a Patient Crisis
Low staffing, high turnover, and closed beds at UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital is sending patient care downhill, union nurses say. Several dozen workers gathered outside of the Oakland hospital to call for more resources to retain and recruit nurses. [City Paper]
🚗 Pittsburgh Pays Fern Hollow Bridge Victims
City Council unanimously approved a $500,000 payment to the victims of the January 2022 bridge collapse — the city’s financial cap for liabilities. A lawsuit against the engineering firms, which doesn’t have a monetary limit, is ongoing. [TribLive]
