Arbitrators for U.S. Steel and the United Steelworkers union ruled in favor of the over $14 billion takeover by Nippon Steel, saying the company had “satisfied each of the conditions of the successorship clause of its basic labor agreement with the USW.” The union disagreed. [Reuters]
