🚧 Apply for Blight Removal Funding
Allegheny County is accepting applications through Friday to fund the removal of vacant houses, old schools, closed restaurants, and more. The funds can be used for demolition, remediation, and to conduct asbestos testing. Projects are capped at $250,000. [KDKA]
🩺 Strike Averted at AHN
Allegheny Health Network and more than 450 nurses and health care workers agreed on a new three-year contract, including pay increases for union members, adding assistant positions, and other changes. Nurses at West Penn Hospital in Bloomfield are also negotiating a new contract. [Pittsburgh Union Progress]
