Chatham Closes North Hills Residence Hall

Students and community members say the university announced the closure of Orchard Hall dormitory last month “out of the blue,” leaving the North Hills campus without its only residence hall. The Chatham Students United group says at least 30 students had deposited funds to live there this fall. [Pittsburgh Union Progress]

Pgh-Based Self-Driving Company Goes Public

Aurora raised $483 million last week to fund the first phase of their driverless trucking service. The Strip District company plans to start service in Texas by the end of 2024, and the millions raised add to their $1 billion of liquidity that Aurora Innovation expects will give them “runway well into 2026.” [Axios]
