Will Tropical Storm Debby Affect Pittsburgh?

It’s not clear yet. Plumes of moisture from the storm that hit northern Florida yesterday are expected to create heavy rains and storms in Pennsylvania today, and possibly also later in the week. [CBS News]

On a phone call following the international prisoner swap, Fogel told his mom how distressing the situation is and how his spinal injury is being treated in Russian hospitals. This is the third time the PA native was excluded from a diplomatic exchange. [TribLive]

North Side YMCA Gets a Glow Up

The North Side’s Allegheny YMCA will close for almost a year for extensive, multi-million dollar renovations. Current residents — approximately 50 low-income men — will be allowed to remain throughout the project, which officials hope will be completed by January 2026. [NextPittsburgh]
