What's CITY Talking About?

Steelers Training Camp Kicks Off
Camp kicked off yesterday at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pa. for the 57th year. Morning and afternoon open practices are free to the public through Aug. 14; tickets are required. Padded practices begin July 30. [Pittsburgh Steelers]
- 🏈 What happens up camp? Sometimes you don’t even realize how “Pittsburgh” something is until an out-of-towner points it out. [✍️ Hey Pittsburgh]
- 🍦 Make it a road trip! Latrobe has ice cream, Mr. Rogers, and so much more. [✍️ Hey Pittsburgh]
New Sober Space at Stage AE
A sectioned-off sober area will be available at Stage AE’s indoor and outdoor shows. John’s Echo — a nonprofit named for a board member’s brother who passed from a drug overdose — is a co-sponsor of the new space for the concert-goers who aren’t imbibing. [TribLive]
Name That City Cast Tune
The composer behind City Cast Pittsburgh’s theme music is celebrating a big milestone — a new EP called Love Gun 2. The eight-track record features Benji.’s signature soulful beats and a lot more vocals. He’s living in L.A. now, but still makes it back home to Pittsburgh for a show or two every year. 🗓️ Aug. 30 - Sept. 1
📍Market Square and the Blvd of the Allies
Celebrate Pittsburgh’s Black food entrepreneurs with an assortment of the best soul food in the city, including Leon’s Caribbean, and Ray Ray’s BBQ. Then pull up a chair and feast while listening to The House Of Soul and the other artists.
🌮 Pittsburgh Taco Festival
