What's CITY Talking About?
McCutchen Is Out for the Season
The five-time All-Star partially tore his left Achilles tendon while running to second base in a win against Milwaukee on Monday. Many called Cutch’s homecoming to Pittsburgh a farewell season, but he has plans to stay in his adopted city. “I’m not gonna go out like this. I want to continue to keep playing and push through this, let this heal and be ready to go for 2024,” McCutchen said. He’ll be a free agent during the off season — fingers crossed he stays with the Bucs! [Associated Press]
How A Second Alligator Got in the Kiski
The 2 ⅕-foot alligator spotted in the Kiski River this week is a runaway reptile named Neo. His owner, Austin Randall, said that Neo escaped when he was taking him to a foster home. (Randall is moving and needs to create a better habitat for Neo. He also has snakes, a snapping turtle, a tortoise, a dwarf Cayman crocodile, a Tasmanian puff adder, and an 8-foot boa constrictor.) Randall says that Neo is friendly but shouldn’t be approached. Call 911 if you see him, and leave it to the experts. [TribLIVE]
