From Steel City to Space City
Pittsburgh is playing a starring role in upcoming lunar missions. North Side-based Astrobotic is launching its first lunar landing project, Peregrine, this year. It’s the first commercial mission to the moon and America’s first soft landing on the surface since the Apollo program. Astrobotic is also working with Lawrenceville-based ProtoInnovations on another lunar lander, Griffin, that will send a 1,000-pound NASA rover to search for water. [TribLIVE]

Inside the Ultimate Map for Nostalgic Pittsburghers
Pittsburghers tend to be pretty nostalgic — we love giving directions based on what something used to be — and our city is filled with relics from the past. But until recently, there hasn’t been a map of these artifacts. Local writer Virginia Montanez (aka Jane Pitt) joins us to talk about her interactive map project, Pittsburgh Remains to Be Seen, and how you can get in on the hunt.
Until tomorrow!
